Hi
I couldn't find any instructions, so I "made it up" – and now have error messages.
:)
I uploaded the zip file from inside WordPress (v3.3.1)
I deleted the old version from inside WordPress Plugins listing
I activated the new version from inside WordPress Plugins listing
I used FTP to copy across my personal template
I am now getting an error saying "ADMIN MESSAGE: You have not installed the separate templates file in your wordbay directory. Wordbay will not work and errors will be displayed"
I've even selected the "minimalist listing" template supplied with Wordbay in case my template was causing the error. I still get the error.
Wordbay is not displaying any results.
Go on … give me a clue where I went wrong :)
Thanks

Bah… Are you SURE they are in the wordbay/templates dierctory?
Like, plugins/wordbay/templates/my_template?

Hi
Positive… and I am now looking at my directory structure to double check.
Yes.
/wp-content/plugins/wordbay/templates/my_template
And, apart from that, just in case my template had caused problems I'd changed the chosen template within the settings to be one of the provided ones. Ah, hang on, I just changed it again to select one of "your" templates (black default) and it's working. It's saying there are no items, but it's working (maybe there just aren't any such items to display at the moment so I'll check another page).
I just checked another page and it says "no items to display…." but when I checked ebay.com and ebay.co.uk they both have a few items which did meet the search criteria.
So: Wordbay and templates appear to work, but new problem is they are not displaying items.

OK, it seems to all be working now, just some oddities.
Listings are pulling through on some pages, just not all of them. I can live with that for now :)
I've also changed the template to be my own template and that's working too.
I think there might be some oddities going on with Firefox (just to chuck other stuff into the mix) as a page that's virtually blank on my site in Firefox displays all the correct text and content in IE.
So – assume it's all working, Wordbay's as good as it's going to get on my current setup … and, fingers crossed, any oddities will sort themselves out by themselves.
Cheers.

Hey, glad you got it working, but there's no need to settle for second best! If there are still issues, let me know and we'll see if I can help out.
I should mention that searching eBay to see if there are results for a given search isn't always a good guide. eBay's site search may not return the same results as are returned in the RSS feed, and also there could be settings on your Wordbay setup that are filtering results – like minimum no. of bids, for example, that's a common one.
Like I say, though, let me know if you have any problems – after all, I depend on people to report potential bugs to me so I can improve things where needed!
